A transitive verb is a verb that requires a direct object (e.g. I bought a book.).

a. to travel around Recorrí el país durante cinco años a pie. I traveled around the country for five years on foot.
b. to traverse Recorreré las tres montañas en una semana. I will traverse the three mountains in one week.
2. (to travel)
a. to cover Tenemos que despertarnos muy temprano que hay mucha distancia a recorrer. We have to wake up early tomorrow since there's a lot of distance to cover.
b. to do No recorreremos todo el Camino, solo hasta la mitad. We won't do the whole Camino, just to the halfway point.
3. (to inspect)
a. to look around Recorrí el restaurante con la mirada, pero no te vi en el rincón. I looked around the restaurant but I didn't see you in the corner.

A pronominal verb always uses a reflexive pronoun. (e.g. Te ves cansado.).

a. to travel around Me voy a recorrer Europa este verano. ¿Quieres venir? I'm going to travel around Europe this summer. Do you want to come?
5. (to travel)
a. to cover Podemos recorrer los cinco km en media hora en moto. We can cover five km in half an hour by bike.
b. to do No debes recorrerte todo el trayecto por ti mismo. You shouldn't do the whole route by yourself.
