b. to deadlock
La testadurez del rey estancó las propuestas de paz.The king's stubbornness deadlocked the initiatives for peace.
c. to bring to a halt
Los inversionistas estancaron las negociaciones.The investors brought the negotiations to a halt.
d. to bring to a standstill
Un accidente sobre la calle Colón estancó el tráfico por una hora.An accident on Colón street brought the traffic to a standstill for an hour.
e. to hold up
Por favor, no deje que tu orgulo estanque las negociaciones.Please don't allow your pride to hold up the negotiations.
