1. (to dally)
a. to be idle
¡Deja de holgar y ven a darme una mano!Stop being idle and come give me a hand!
b. to take one's ease
Adrián está holgando porque hoy no tiene que trabajar ni ir a clase.Adrian is taking his ease because he doesn't have to work or go to school today.
2. (to be superfluous)
a. to be unnecessary
Ya hemos sometido la propuesta a votación, por lo que huelgan más comentarios.We have already voted on the proposal, so any further comments are unnecessary.

A pronominal verb always uses a reflexive pronoun. (e.g. Te ves cansado.).
3. (to enjoy oneself)
a. to have fun
Nunca me imaginé que me iba a holgar y reír tanto aprendiendo a bailar tango.I never knew I'd have so much fun and laugh so much learning how to dance tango.
b. to have a good time
En tu fiesta nos holgamos. Gracias por invitarnos.We had a good time at your party. Thank you for inviting us.
