1. (to pull)
a. to draw back
Marcela descorrió la cortina y abrió la ventana.Marcela drew back the curtains and opened the window.
b. to draw
Voy a descorrer la cortina así entra la luz del sol.I'll draw the curtain to let sunlight in.
c. to open
Jimena descorrió la cortina de la ducha porque pensó que alguien estaba escondido en la bañera.Jimena opened the shower curtain because she thought somebody was hiding in the bathtub.
2. (to pull back)
a. to draw back
El guardia descorrió el cerrojo de hierro y abrió la puerta de madera.The guard drew back the iron latch and opened the wooden door.
b. to slide back
Un extraño llamaba en la entrada. Abrí la puerta pero no descorrí el pestillo.A stranger was knocking. I opened the door but didn't slide back the bolt.
