A transitive verb is a verb that requires a direct object (e.g. I bought a book.).
1. (to place before)
a. to put before
Cuando llenes el formulario, antepone tu apellido a tu nombre de pila.When you fill the form, put your last name before your first name.
b. to put in front of
Cuando antepones el signo # a una palabra, la palabra se convierte en un vínculo cliqueable.When you put the # sign in front of a word, the word turns into a link that is then clickable.
2. (to give preference to)
a. to put before
Virginia siempre antepuso la felicidad de su hija a la suya.Virginia always put her daughter's happiness before hers.
b. to put ahead of
