A transitive verb is a verb that requires a direct object (e.g. I bought a book.).

A word or phrase that is commonly used in conversational speech (e.g. skinny, grandma).
(colloquial) El guardia se puso impaciente mientras la turista rebuscaba su bolso de mano para encontrar su pasaporte. The guard was growing impatient as the tourist rummaged in her handbag for her passport. 2. (agriculture) a. to glean Primero, los hombres cosechaban y luego las mujeres rebuscaban lo que quedaba. First, the men reaped, and afterward the women had to glean what was left.
An intransitive verb is one that does not require a direct object (e.g. The man sneezed.).
3. (to try to find) a. to search carefully Rebusqué bastante pero no encontré una camisa que me gustara. I searched carefully but I couldn't find a shirt that I liked. b. to rummage Vi a un hombre rebuscando en la basura y me ofrecí a comprarle una pizza. I saw a man rummaging in the trash, so I offered to buy him a pizza. rebuscarse
A pronominal verb always uses a reflexive pronoun. (e.g. Te ves cansado.).
4. (to subsist)
Regionalism used in Latin America: all the countries in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Does not include Spain.
