b. to aggravate

2. (to anger)
a. to irritate
La impuntualidad exacerba a mi madre.Unpunctuality irritates my mother.
b. to exasperate
Las fiestas de los vecinos exacerban a mi papá porque no puede dormir.The neighbors' parties exasperate my dad because he can't sleep.
A pronominal verb always uses a reflexive pronoun. (e.g. Te ves cansado.).

El problema de contaminación va a exacerbarse si no empezamos a actuar.The pollution problem will become exacerbated if we don't start to act now.
4. (to get angry)
a. to become exasperated
La señora se exacerbó con los gritos de los niños.The woman became exasperated with the children's shrieks.
