Below is the original contest:
Back on November 3rd, Issabela proposed an idea. The Picture of the Day. That idea has grown into what many members consider a welcome daily routine here at SpanishDict. "The Picture of the Day" engenders thoughtful consideration, comical relief, stimulating interchanges and of course, Spanish practice!
So I now present
The 2009 Best "Caption" and Best "Picture of the Day Contest
29 photos and captions have been nominated using the following criterion:
- The caption was in both languages, and
- Issabelas photo had 5 or more votes, and
- The best caption had 5 or more votes.
How can you vote?
- First click "Oldest" (más viejas) to see all 29 entries easily.
- Then look them over and pick your favorite photo and favorite caption.
- Next, click the link for the photo or the caption. This takes you to the original thread.
- Now vote for the photo and/or the caption. (Adding a comment counts as a vote.)

Dont vote for your favorite here!
Issabela and the members who participated are the ones that deserve your vote. ![]()
What if you had already voted for one in the past?
You can vote again for this contest. Here's how. Simply add a comment to the photo or caption that is your favorite. All comments that are added will be counted as a vote (1 per member).
Remember: There will be two winners:
1) Issabelas best photo, and
2) The best caption.
So vote for your favorite photo, and your favorite caption.
Voting ends Thursday, January 7th at 11:30pm GMT The photo and the caption that increased the most will each win!
And the winner gets ... well, Im not sure about a prize yet... This is, after all, an unofficial contest. But hey! Who needs more of a prize than just having the satisfaction of being acknowledged as a valuable contributor to SpanishDict! ![]()
So take a stroll through the 29 entries in the nominees' gallery below, pick your favorites, make your vote and enjoy the memories.
