Neither of us knew that either of us could be so happy.

Love Is

The majority of days are neither the best day nor the worst of one’s life, but from my experience I suspect that the best day of my life has already passed and the worst is yet to come- nonetheless I cannot be sure of that either.

Wow. You are so rarely this wrong: your best day is yet to come, amigo. :D - - jrschenk, Jan 5, 2016

I have to say that I agree, it is almost certain that worse is to come, unles we die unexpectedly overnight, in which case, indeed, the best has been and gone. - annierats, Jan 5, 2016
Ah, but what will ever top some of the best days of young love. And unless I manage to achieve a sudden death...So I think my point is not without validity. Which is not to say that I do not hope for some very enjoyable days ahead. But you only have 1 - bosquederoble, Jan 6, 2016
I know what you are saying, but maybe I have really had some truly wonderful days in the past, and as wonderful as some in the future may be, and I do expect some very good ones, maybe the past ones were so good that I can't picture one better. :) - bosquederoble, Jan 7, 2016
I don't think that is necessarily sad. And truth be told, averaged over many days, the future is probably better (recall my post on my week of starvation- my only starvation in the future I hope is voluntary)- but for the individual best day? - bosquederoble, Jan 7, 2016

Neither option was appealing, but we are going to try to make the best of a bad situation.

(Sorry rac, I started this before I read your post but I'm going through with it - disculpa rac, empecé esto antes de leer tu respuesta pero voy I continuarlo.)

So and so: Either you get it or you don't.

Such and such: I neither get it nor care.

Fulano: Ó lo comprendes ó no comprendes.

Sutano: Ni me vale ni me importa.

(Pregunta: ¿Necesito escribir como "ó"?)

Either is good! (applying tEwotd :D) but you don't need to repeat 'comprendes' you can just say 'o lo comprendes o no' - Pablo064, Jan 7, 2016

For me, babies are neither cute nor adorable. Either they are born very red, or they look very wrinkled,as if they were old men, or even worse, both.

Either baby is a promise for the future but neither of them can grow without much attention and love.

Hola Katy - ian-hill, Jan 5, 2016
I would say ' any baby' rather than either, which implies a choice of two babies, what would you say, Ian? - annierats, Jan 5, 2016
Nice sentences though! - annierats, Jan 5, 2016
Not if the choice is between 2 babies - that is always the point with these words. - ian-hill, Jan 5, 2016
They could not be used for more than 2. - ian-hill, Jan 5, 2016
Cualquier has to be more than two, surely? - annierats, Jan 5, 2016
YEs but I can't find another Spanish word for "either" - can you Annie? - ian-hill, Jan 5, 2016
Gracias amigos - porcupine7, Jan 6, 2016
In Spanish you don't have the 'either-any' problem so it is good ;) - Pablo064, Jan 7, 2016

Either Luis or Javier must have done it. So far neither of them will admit it.

Always you see 'either..or...' it surely will be 'o..o...' (the same for 'neither...nor..' ni...ni..) Although you can omit the first 'o' it is 'O Luis o Javier'..debe haberLO hecho..' - Pablo064, Jan 7, 2016

Either one of us is mad or silly,

but neither one is intelligent nor clever.

Because we are good actors.

Cualquiera de nosotros es loco o tonto,

pero tampoco uno es inteligente ni inteligente.

Porque somos buenos actores.

Here's the correction 'nosotros o está loco o es tonto' pero tampoco ninguno es inteligente ni listo.. - Pablo064, Jan 7, 2016

The room was neither clean nor comfortable, but he could either stay there or on the street.
