Spanish Word of the Day
adverb ( where )
¿Adónde fueron anoche, y quién les dio permiso?
Where did you go last night, and who gave you permission?
Allí adonde van en Francia hay unos bellos campos de lavanda.
Where you guys are going in France there are some beautiful fields of lavender.
- Don't confuse "adonde" with "donde"! "Donde" also means "where," but refers to a static position. "Adonde" is used with verbs of movement. Both words take an accent over the "o" in questions.
