1. (to make a deep sound)
a. to moo (cow)
La vaca mugió cuando nos acercamos.The cow mooed when we approached her.
b. to bellow
Durante la tormenta, se oía el ganado mugiendo a lo lejos.During the storm, you could hear the cattle bellowing in the distance.
c. to low
Nos dimos un paseo por el paisaje bucólico con ovejas balando y vacas mugiendo al fondo.We went for a walk through the rural countryside with sheep bleating and cows lowing in the distance.
2. (to cry out in pain)
a. to howl
En el campo de batalla, se oían los heridos mugir.On the battlefield, the wounded could be heard howling.
