Hola Nbf. I needed a bigger pic or else my caption probably wouldn't make sense :) This is from Queenstown in my home country. Muchas gracias :) - jellonz, Aug 6, 2017
Thank you, amiga. :) - rac1, Aug 6, 2017
Good morning my friends . Thanks Jellonz. . :) - Nickelbackfan1, Aug 6, 2017
This is Hawkes Bay and Marlborough in New Zealand - Vineyard trails. - rac1, Aug 6, 2017
Hmmn. Pretty sure it's Queenstown Amber, although the Hawkes Bay and Marlborough regions are famous for their wine. Waipara, just north of where I live, is becoming a major producer now too. - jellonz, Aug 6, 2017
Hola Nick. ¿Que tal ? - ray76, Aug 7, 2017
Hi jellonz where are the sheep mate ? Looks north Island to me mate especially with his bare legs . - ray76, Aug 7, 2017
Damn sheep can't be trusted round the grapes Ray, and we Southerners bare our legs whenever the sun is shining mate :) - jellonz, Aug 7, 2017

When June and Jane went into the bushes for a toilet break, two cyclists stole their lunch.

I don't know how to say "toilet break" in Spanish, but I'm guessing there's a shorter form than what I went with? - jellonz, Aug 6, 2017
Also, is my "les robaron el almuerzo" correct? I checked it against the SD translator and all three said "robaron su almuerzo" which makes me question my version. - jellonz, Aug 6, 2017
se metieron en....para ir al baño/hacer pis...good idea to enlarge the pic, they are difficult to see. - 006595c6, Aug 6, 2017
Gracias por las correcciones Heidi. I love Nbf's pics and they look so good in full screen. I might include a link whenever I can find a high res image from now on. - jellonz, Aug 6, 2017
Lol at your caption. Would love to see the pics in full screen. I've occasionally tracked one down but don't usually take the time. - AnnRon, Aug 6, 2017
Thanks Ann :) I'll include a high res pic whenever available in my answer from now on. - jellonz, Aug 7, 2017

Man: Isn't it funny that last year your leg also had a cramp when we rode past this place?

Woman: Here's to happy coincidences!

Matt, a small typo by omission: ¿No es raro etc...You need the inverted question mark! - FELIZ77, Aug 7, 2017
Thanks, Feliz - mattb1of6, Aug 7, 2017

It is a nice land with a very nice panorama, and I am envious because the couple are wearing a sweater so the weather is also nice and not as hot as in our country.

I love this perspective Porcu. Nobody here feels lucky having to wrap up in the cold :) - jellonz, Aug 6, 2017
In 40 centigrade of Celsius you'd feel the same - porcupine7, Aug 7, 2017
You're totally right Porcu. It's an unseasonal 20 degrees here today and that's about hot enough for me :) - jellonz, Aug 7, 2017

She was complaining because he never takes her out, and a few more things, well, this is a good way to start fixing up everything. With corrections: She was complaining because he never takes her out,and about a few other things, well, this is a good way to start fixing up everything.

If I were to use this as a reward, I suspect that I could get my wife to ride bicycles with me again.

I am assuming this is approaching sunset, and they are sharing a repast after a day of riding, and that this is not a breakfast with wine shortly after sunrise, before they ride, which I would not think is the safer option. :) - bosquederoble, Aug 6, 2017
Great idea! =) Perfect! - 00376109, Aug 6, 2017
Gracias, Coffeelate. :) - bosquederoble, Aug 6, 2017
Good one Bosque :) I only noticed the lengthened shadows after I posted and I was too lazy to change "lunch" to "dinner / tea" at that stage of the night. - jellonz, Aug 6, 2017
The plates on the tables are kind of too small to tell, but almost looked like breakfast pastries to me. :) - bosquederoble, Aug 6, 2017
The title does say an evening out though. :) - bosquederoble, Aug 6, 2017
Yes. That should have been a clue. Although, in my defence, the company run bike trail, which this photo is promoting, stops at the wineries for lunch, so I'm guessing the photographer took some poetic license with the timing of the shot :) - jellonz, Aug 6, 2017
I have to admit, my go to white wine now is sauvignon blanc from there. I still drink my pinot noir from Oregon though. :) - bosquederoble, Aug 7, 2017
One assumes they are drinking a Marlborough sauvignon blanc, of course. ;) - bosquederoble, Aug 7, 2017
I'm glad you drink NZ wine Bosque. I only drink reds myself, which is reassuring in a way, because we have so many similarities it was getting hard for me to tell us apart :) - jellonz, Aug 7, 2017
Although our Spanish abilities were always another point of difference :) - jellonz, Aug 7, 2017

The young woman: "It's wonderful to be able to spend time together without the kids, darling, much as I love them to bits, and it's so peaceful, too! The girl listening behind the bushes: "I heard what you just said, mum! I will remember that (your words) when we want some peace and quiet in our room or our dens with our friends!"

Idiomatic usage: love them 'to bits' meaning = to love them so much!

This picture is strange....where did the food come from, and why is the man wearing only underpants?

Solo calzones? O.O Buena pregunta =) - 00376109, Aug 6, 2017
That's just Kiwis for you Echo. Give us any excuse and we'll whip our pants off. Ray would probably have let you know that if I hadn't :) - jellonz, Aug 6, 2017
Thanks for the new word. I only knew calzone as the Italian dish. It's going to feel strange the next time I eat one! :) - mattb1of6, Aug 6, 2017
Hmmm...maybe I should move to New Zealand!!! - Echoline, Aug 6, 2017
lol! - 00376109, Aug 7, 2017
Why is the man wearing underpants , have you forgotten so readily Echo or do you mean he should not have any on ? - ray76, Aug 7, 2017

Woman: I'll play along with him because I know he has good intentions, but I wanted to go to Hawaii for my birthday.

Hi AnnRon :) I think "queria" sounds more natural, Let's wait for more options! - 00376109, Aug 7, 2017
Now that you mention it, "quería" seems better to me too, but I have little ear for the language. I'll wait a while before changing it and see if anyone else chimes in. - AnnRon, Aug 7, 2017
From my perspective, quería if you were wanting to go, but it didn't happen. Quise is more like I made an unsuccessful attempt to my understanding. That may need clarification from a native, but quería is the best option here. :) - bosquederoble, Aug 7, 2017
Gracias, Coffelate and bosque. - AnnRon, Aug 7, 2017
