Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day! This is a game where you can all practice your Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time! Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the answer I feel is the best, the fact that the person has corrected their post and possibly the number of votes. Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos. . Please encourage everyone with a vote. . .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun.

There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Cat: stupid mice, you imagine that after the campaign you will receive even a breadcrumb?

Porcu, more natural to say: Do you imagine that etc....This doesn't change the Spanish as the word do is never translated into Spanish, anyway! I hope this helps :) - FELIZ77, Aug 13, 2016
I like it the way it is. I think it is true to oral language patterns, at least on this side of the pond. :-) - AnnRon, Aug 13, 2016

A good politician always knows that if he wants to take a pound of flesh from his constituents, it is necessary that they not be too skinny.

Those, my friend, could be the most expensive wedges of cheese that they have ever eaten.

Based on context, we might be the mouse, the cat, or even the cheese.

que podriamos ser would make more sense as we might be, unless of course you mean: one might be - FELIZ77, Aug 13, 2016

The two mice talking in the queue:

The first mouse on the left: "Does he really imagine for one minute that he can buy our votes that easily?" I mean, honestly, does he really think that we are that stupid?! We weren't born yesterday! "

The second mouse on the right: "Yeah, you are right, of course, brother, but don't you think we are trusting him too much? I maen, he could have poisoned that cheese!"

First mouse : "Don't talk rubbish! He is not going to poison us before he receives our votes, is he! I don't think even he could be that stupd!"

¡No nacimos ayer!"

Editor's note: I know that constructions such as: No creo que....triggers the subjunctive when the sentence has a future meaning, .but because I am using the conditional indicative afterwards, I believe that the subjunctive is not necessary here. I hope that I am right! wink
