íAy, caramba! Tengo que ir a Kansas durante la primera parte de junio para la recepción de la boda que los padres de mi futuro yerno van a tener- ahora no es hora de mostrar imágenes de tornados.

Oh boy! I have to go to Kansas during the first part of June for the wedding reception that my future son-in-law's parents are going to throw- now is not the time to show pictures of tornados.

Well, mine is a true story, but my wife already has her red sparkly shoes for the trip. And she does say to our future son-in-law, you're not in Kansas anymore. ;) - bosquederoble, Apr 2, 2016
'van a tener' how about having something like this http://bit.ly/1RSneTo :D - Pablo064, Apr 3, 2016
I can't believe I conjugated to him, not his parents, thanks Pablo. :) - bosquederoble, Apr 3, 2016

Pones tu carro aquí;
Pones tu carro ahí;
Pones tu carro aquí,
Y será sacudido muy fuerte.

You put your car here;
You put your car there;
You put your car here,
And it will be shaken very hard.

Old McTwister was a tornado. E-I-E-I-O. And in his tornado he had a farm E-I-E-I-O. With a cow here and a tractor there. Here a house there a barn everywhere an animal. Old McTwister was a tornado. E-I-E-I-O

En el tornado de McTwister. I-A-I-A-O. Y en su tornado fue una granja I-A-I-A-O. Una vaca aquí y un tractor allá. Aquí una casa, allí un establo, en todos lados animales. En el tornado de McTwister. I-A-I-A-O

Hace mucho tiempo, vi tornados gemelos, en un campo cerca de la carreterra.

A long time ago, I saw twin tornados in a field, near a road.

hermanas is feminine--does not agree with tornados. I think the term is "tornados gemelos" or twin tornados. - Daniela2041, Apr 2, 2016
Dani, how can I say it in spanish? The english idiom is "sisters" so maybe I should drop the word tornado completely? How about "tormentas hermanas" or "hermanas tormentas" ? - 00cc0117, Apr 3, 2016
Gracias Dani - 00cc0117, Apr 3, 2016
It really doesn't matter what the English idiom is. I've given you the Spanish one. There are sooo many differences when it comes to idioms. Try to say that you "like" something. There is N O transitive verb "to like" You have to say that something is - Daniela2041, Apr 4, 2016
pleasing to you. By the way a tormenta is just a "storm." So there!! :) - Daniela2041, Apr 4, 2016

Yo pensaba que Twister era el juego ese de los colores en el que hay que girar una ruleta.

I thought Twister was that game with colours where you have to spin a wheel.

No me gusta nada una película de catástrofe; si me asustan , me asusto mucho.

I do not like a catastrophe movie ; if they scare me, I am scared a lot.

Shall we turn around now or let the twister do it for us?

¿Nos damos la vuelta ahora o permite el tornado hacerlo para nosotros?
