Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos.

Please encourage everyone with a vote. . .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun!

'tengo comida, viajaré' assuming that you are talking in first singular person - Pablo064, Feb 6, 2016
Pablo, I am trying to say "have food" but I guess one cannot convey that in Spanish. Thank you . - ray76, Feb 6, 2016
Ray, tengo comida is fine, Pablo is correcting the viajará to viajaré. - annierats, Feb 6, 2016

Remember that the adage " you are what you eat" applies as much to animals as to human beings, and that it is necessary to choose the food for your pet wisely.

A hard one I'd say 'comida para llevar autoentregables' :D - Pablo064, Feb 6, 2016
Probably Feliz - I have never seen it in English. :) - ian-hill, Feb 6, 2016

It may be that's why I do not like at all hamburgers. They remind me too much to tortoises.

Great answer amiga one small suggestion "Maybe that's why I do not like hamburgers" might sound better, but in my opinion it is very good. :) - Nickelbackfan1, Feb 5, 2016
Nick is correct Kat, you can dispense with both definite articles ; -too much "of" tortoises. That may be why I do not like hamburgers at all. They remind me too much of tortoises. - ray76, Feb 5, 2016
It sounds better the way Ray put it. :) - Nickelbackfan1, Feb 5, 2016
'Me recuerdan demasiado' or 'Me hacen acordar demasiado' ;) - Pablo064, Feb 6, 2016

Is it actually good, I know frog is good but turtle? - Nickelbackfan1, Feb 5, 2016
Turtle is eaten in many places where it has not been suppressed due to conservation measurs- turtle soup is a classic, hence the invention of mock turtle soup to replicate it without the turtle. - bosquederoble, Feb 5, 2016
Oh eff, I should have read yours before writing, I thought they were tortuburgesas.. - annierats, Feb 5, 2016

The latest fad is to send tortoises to take hamburgers to their adresses! Besides, if it is late, you don't have to pay! It is free!

I think "La novedad" in Spanish, and "The latest fad" in English would be better for "La generación nueva" and "New generation". Certainly in English "New generation" would not be used. - Jubilado, Feb 5, 2016
Okay Jubilado, thanks for correcting me ! I will edit :) - AndréYuhai, Feb 5, 2016
One more "tweak" take out "nueva" after "novedad", it's redundant. You do good work. I'll bet your English sounds great! - Jubilado, Feb 5, 2016
Ooh thanks again and again I appreciate your help :) I am just trying to practice both as much as I can :P Thank you so much! :) - AndréYuhai, Feb 5, 2016

The young tortoise: "They say that 'a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step' and I'm going to need plenty of food to get home! The only problem is, is it likely that anyone will still be alive by the time I arrive home?!"wink

Original caption:(Spanish version only):

La tortuga joven: "Dicen que un viaje de un mil millas comienza solo de un paso, y voy a necesitar (a?) comer mucha comida para llegar a casa! El único problema es que no es probable que ninguna persona vive cuando finalmente que llega a mi cuidad natal!" wink

'comer comida' in Spanish is completely redundant like 'subir arriba' 'bajar abajo' etc :D - Pablo064, Feb 6, 2016

Ever since way back when I joined the slow food movement, I have dreamed of having a hamburger and every time that I see my slow food I think about a hamburger- Okay, why isn’t a hamburger slow food- I have never seen a cow that moved quickly.

Okay, no one did it. For those that don't know, the slow food movement is about eating healthy local unprocessed foods slowly with friends and family, conversations and maybe a bit of wine. It is not about eating animals that are slow. ;) - bosquederoble, Feb 6, 2016
But I can still make a joke about it. :) - bosquederoble, Feb 6, 2016
Wow I didn't even know it existed, there are movements for any thing :D I'd add some marks ¿Por qué..? nunca he.. :) - Pablo064, Feb 6, 2016
rofl@slow food movement hahaha Very funny, Bosque :) - FELIZ77, Feb 6, 2016
Thanks Pablo- I do poorly with punctuation, but I should remember when to use question marks, even if I am hopeless with commas. :) - bosquederoble, Feb 6, 2016
