Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day! enter image description here

This is a game where we can practice our Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time!

Today's picture of the day comes all the way from Australia via Ray76 Thanks, amigo.

The rules are very simple and remain more or less exactly as RelaxingCup designed them and H C A student continued.

  • Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy.

  • Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos.

Please encourage everyone with a vote. smile

. .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun!

Here is the previous Picture of the Day:

Shows four beagles and a tiny tot up against a fence staring at something. The tot has his arm around one of the dogs. The dogs are wagging their tail. - sanlee, Jan 13, 2016

Hoy estamos embelesados.

The activities at the swimming pool are always fascinating. Today we’re spellbound.

I'm runnin' with the pack

Never lookin' back

You try to keep me in cages

But baby, you got to catch me first

You think your law is contagious

I'll do my best, you can do your worst

Once again the English is not mine, but the Spanish is. I tried to get to the root meaning of the last sentence.

Kid, we've got to get out of this place; if it's the last thing we ever do. We've got to get out

this place. Kid, out side, there's a better life for us and you.

Thanks Pablo smile

Of course it does not matter that it is a human boy or puppies. A child is a child.

"Da lo mismo que se trate (subjunctive)" de un niño (we do not use "human" in the expresión because "un niño" is indeed a human) - Waidh, Jan 13, 2016
"o de cachorros" (we must repeat the preposition "de"; without the article (generalization) ) ;) But a good one! - Waidh, Jan 13, 2016

What's wrong with us? We don't even eat grass. Yet, some unexplained force draws us to want what is on the other side of the fence.

Little boy : I do not know but I am glad to have you guys as my friends.

Please tell me if I have made an error, and I will try to fix it as soon as possible , all help is highly appreciated. smile

Hi, Nickelbackfan, just a minor change: if you use "me pregunto" in Spanish, the sentences turns into an indirect question, so no questions signs are used in that case :)) - Waidh, Jan 13, 2016
"the sentence" "question signs" ;) So, or not signs or ¿Qué estarán haciendo nuestras madres? - Waidh, Jan 13, 2016

Young boy: "So (well) guys, what are we all looking at?"

The dogs answer at the same time (if dogs could talk) : "Can't you tell (guess correctly), friend? We are very excited to see all that (ie: so much) grass there, and the chance to chase all the neighbourhood cats....but please do not 'let the cat out of the bag'! (don't give the game away!) "

Editor's note/s: I am using the term 'guys' very loosely here as I realize that the boy is really (ie: literally) talking to dogs, not people, and so for this reason I have placed the correct word 'perros' in Spanish, in parenthesis! I wasn't sure if I could use chicos in this kind of way! ? Any guidance gratefully received wink
