Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day! enter image description here

This is a game where we can practice our Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time!

The rules are very simple and remain more or less exactly as RelaxingCup designed them and H C A student continued.

  • Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy.

  • Pon tu comentario/ título/ pie de foto a esta imagen (ambos en español y inglés) y vota por las respuestas que te gusten. La mejor respuesta será seleccionada mañana, tanto por la cantidad de votos como por la corrección en el uso del idioma.

  • Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos.

  • Por favor, deja que todos tengan una oportunidad y pon más o menos una respuesta, sin fotos. .

Please encourage everyone with a vote. smile

. .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun!

Here is the previous Picture of the Day:

Help! I have fallen and I can not get up! Oh well,I will try to look natural by making a snow angel. ¡Socorro! ¡He caído y no puedo levantarme! Bueno, voy a tratar de disimular haciendo un ángel de nieve.

Any corrections are highly appreciated, and I will try to fix my errors as soon as possible. smile

Nickel, I would say: ¡Socorro! ¡He caído y no puedo levantarme! Bueno, voy a tratar de disimular por hacer un ángel de nieve. - FELIZ77, Jan 8, 2016
One wise crack recently gave an example on SpanishDict to show the difference between ayudar and socorrer (soccorro): the verb ayudar is used to ask for help to put up a book case, whereas you use ¡Socorro! when the book case has fallen on top of you! ;) - FELIZ77, Jan 8, 2016
Typo. The word should be spelt; ¡Socorro! :) - FELIZ77, Jan 8, 2016

Para nosotros, algunos de los deportes de los EEUU parecen muy estraños. Esto lo confirma.

For us, some of the sports of the USA seem very strange. This confirms it.

Es blanca. Debe ser la nieve. (Mira el mensaje de bosquederoble para aclarar por que el atlético podría pensar esto.)

It is white. It must be snow. (See bosquederoble's post to clarify why the athlete might think this.)

Somebody should tell him that jumping jacks are done standing up, not laying down.

Alguien debe decirle que los "jumping jacks" se hacen parado, no acostado.

Me parece que a este hombre algo le pica y por esto está acostado y se mueve en el hielo.

I think to this man something itches and that's why he is lying and moving on ice.

The trainer (coach): "This is how I practise my star-jumps when I am too knackered to get up!" wink

El entrenador (o preparador físico): << ¡Así, practico los "Star Jumps" (o saltos de estrellas?) cuando estoy tanto reventado que no puedo leventarme! wink

Editor's note/s: I could not find the word for "Star Jumps" in my Oxford English Spanish dictionary....do the Spanish have an equivalent word/expression to describe this? I made a intelligent guess I hope it is correct but if I find the correct word/or am corrected I will obviously change it! wink

Corrijan mi español si es necesario, por favor smile

Nickel, well it would certainly be interesting to watch somebody trying to do that, and with a bit of cheating they might succeed... - FELIZ77, Jan 8, 2016
...but if I were a betting man (which I am not) I would say that it would be next to impossible to do press-ups lke that using "normal" (ie: not supernatural) human power/ability! - FELIZ77, Jan 8, 2016

King, you need the plural: ángeles del aire....to match the Spanish with the English . ;) - FELIZ77, Jan 8, 2016
I am not saying that this expression is correct, as I have not heard of it, it simply makes sense in this context. - FELIZ77, Jan 8, 2016
I forgot to change it in the comment when I changed it in my head. - KingKO92, Jan 8, 2016
I do it all the time. I think of it one way in Spanish, then when I do the English I do it differently. - Daniela2041, Jan 9, 2016
