We will give an explanation of the topic, and a couple of examples.

Post pictures if youd like, and dont forget to vote on the sentences you like best. The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the topic as well as the number of votes.

Weekend Subjunctive Practice 22: En cuanto
Explanation:
When en cuanto refers to an idea or time in the future, the subjunctive is used when you conjugate the verb that follows. En cuanto works exactly like cuando, but since it is so commonly used, it is worth mentioning.
The only difference is that cuando = when, and en cuanto = as soon as.
Examples:
Podemos usar nuestros móviles otra vez en cuanto aterrice el avión.
We can use our cell phones again as soon as the plane lands.
Os digo la información sobre la reunión en cuanto la sepa.
Ill tell you the information about the meeting as soon as I know it.
¡Prestad atencion!
When en cuanto refers to something habitual, the indicative is used for the verb that follows.
Example:
Siempre me lavo los dientes en cuanto me despierto.
I always brush my teeth as soon as I wake up.
¡Os toca a vosotros!
