Picture of the Day: That's why I'm wearing a tuxedo!

Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day!

This is a game where we can practice our Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time!

The rules are very simple and remain more or less exactly as RelaxingCup designed them.

  • Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen tomorrow on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy.

  • Please, give everyone a chance and only post one caption and no photos.

Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun!

This thread would benefit greatly from an official Spanish corrector. If you would like to help out in this way, please send me a PM. It does not matter if you are new to this site or an established member, anyone fluent in Spanish can be very helpful!

Here is the previous Picture of the Day: Oh, how I hate pigeons...

And here is the Picture of the Day:

Ah, not again! Give me a second!

Learning comes from experience… often from bad experience.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blew. Right?

Algo viejo, algo nuevo, algo prestado, algo soplado. Verdad?

I hope that the bride will not catch a cold and her dress will dry up soon.

The bride was not fond of her husband's groomsman but she couldn't put her finger on why.

I knew that there was some reason or another that penguins do not normally form a part of wedding ceremonies.

It's normal to take a penguin to the vet's on your wedding day, right ?

They should have known something like this would happen when they invited the penguin to a reception with an open bar.

(Please, please correct my Spanish.)

Hi! try with this:"...invitaron al pingüino a la recepción en un bar abierto". If you have doubts, try to change the order of The what and The who in your sentence so you can see if it makes sense: "En un bar abierto, invitaron al pingüino a la recepción" - georgeir, Mar 10, 2015
My only doubt is that I - AnnRon, Mar 10, 2015
Oops--finger hit "return" by mistake. Anyway, my only doubt is that I wasn't envisioning a reception in s bar, but instead one with a bar set up somewhere within the reception space. Would you recommend "en" rather than "con" with that scenario in mind? - AnnRon, Mar 10, 2015

Maybe the penguin was a wedding present from the first wife.
