Picture of the Day: So close...

Question

Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day!

This is a game where we can practice our Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time!

The rules are very simple and remain more or less exactly as RelaxingCup designed them.

• Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen tomorrow on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy.

• Pon tu comentario/ título/ pie de foto a esta imagen (ambos en español y inglés) y vota por las respuestas que te gusten. La mejor respuesta será seleccionada mañana, tanto por la cantidad de votos como por la corrección en el uso del idioma.

• Please, give everyone a chance and only post one caption and no photos.

Don't delete, just edit. You could add after the x's and say this is the Spanish, and then put up a bunch of z's and say this is the English. :) - Daniela2041, Mar 3, 2015

Incluso hasta las leyes de física son están en contra mí mio. Algunos días no se puede ganar.

I don't think "incluso" is wrong, but "hasta" just sounds better to my Spanish ears. And leyes is feminine. "las leyes". Also "no se puede ganar" "se does not agree with "puedes". - Daniela2041, Mar 3, 2015

No se puede ganar is a "generic" way of saying "you can't win" The other way is "No puedes ganar" without a reflexive---but it doesn't have the same meaning as the English. OK? - Daniela2041, Mar 3, 2015

Sigh. Estar and ser. What could be more immutable than the laws of physics? Yet their being against one takes "estar." I used to be pretty smart. What happened? Spanish verbs are beyond me. - AnnRon, Mar 4, 2015

all you need is practicing, learning a language has nothing to do with the intelligence or age I'm pretty sure about that I'm a little stuck with Eng and I'm 25 but I have nobody for practicing :p so how can I improve my Eng? I can't if I keep in this wa - Pablo064, Mar 5, 2015
