Find a word related to Q U I R K & Q U I R K Y

Question

The idea is to find an English word (synonym –- antonym related to the words – Q U I R K & Q U I R K Y

(sustantivo - adjetivo) and then write a simple sentence in English and Spanish for that word.

Example:

By some curious quirk of fate Ray met a quirky lady in Spain and took a detour around the Spanish countryside.

Por alguna curiosa capricho del destino Ray conoció a una señora peculiar en España y dio un rodeo por el campo español.

En mi familia es normal pasar a ser un poco estrafalario con el paso del tiempo, porque aprendemos a no preocuparnos con las opiniones de otros, y a deleitarnos en nuestras excentricidades, y nos acostumbramos a personas que dice cualquier cosa para provocar una reacción. Por suerte mi esposa no tiene una familia normal tampoco.
