¡ Cuando empecé a aprender español, una frase que he aprendido era 'su perro es adorable' con el consejo que esta es útil para las mujeres viejas con sus caniches, mas no para los policias con sus perros pastores alemánes... !

When I started learning Spanish, one phrase that I learnt was 'your dog is adorable' with the advice that this is useful for old women with their poodles, but not for policemen with their Alsatians... !!

Cuando visito a mis hermanas y mi madre, atravieso un poco cruzo parte de un paisaje maravilloso. Pero esto es sólo una pequeña parte pequeña del viaje, y mucho del resto me resulta muy aburrido.

When I visit my sisters and my mother, I travel through a bit of marvelous landscape. But this is only a small part of the trip, and I find much of the rest very boring.
