Quizás los dueños de su empresa de transporte deberían haber exigido un conocimiento básico de la física y no sólo una licencia de conducir comercial y un análisis de orina por drogas con un resultado negativo cuando le contrataron.

Maybe the owners of his transportation company should have required a basic knowledge of physics and not just a commercial driver’s license and a negative urine drug screen when they hired him.

It seems that the young driver didn't realize the 'gravity' (seriousness) of the situation when he started to 'do (practise) wheelies' on the road! Well, he use to work in a circus! Need I say more?!

Editor's note/s: I wasn't sure how to say: "need I say more!" I tried to look it up in my Extensive Oxford Spanish Dictionary but so far I have not been able to find it! This is why I tried to post a question /request to have the link to the phrase-book permanently restored! I thought that there was an idiom to cover this sentence lol
