Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day!

This is a game where we can practice languages and have fun at the same time!

The rules are very simple and remain exactly as RelaxingCup designed them.

  • Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen tomorrow on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy.

  • Please, give everyone a chance and only post one caption and no photos.

Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun!

Here is the previous Picture of the Day: "Now... How do I get to those Bananas?

And here is today's picture:

Ahora un neumático pinchado sería más inoportuno .

A punctured tyre would be most unwelcome now.

Have you ever had a weird feeling that there's something following you?

Nice work Ann, you can also put 'sensación extraña' but up to you - perhaps 'de que hay ...' :) - Kiwi-Girl, Jul 23, 2014

My friend suffers from vertigo and says that looking at this photo makes her feel a bit sick.

I hate the trips up the mountain, even though its great exercise, but the trips down the mountain are truly scary.

- pml222, Jul 23, 2014
espantosoS ;) (horrible, atrocious, awful) - scary could be escalofriantes or me dan miedo - Kiwi-Girl, Jul 23, 2014
espantoso can also be frightening. So scary is not a reach. - gringojrf, Jul 23, 2014
you're right, terrifying as well - I meant to put 'as well' on the end of my post but accidentally hit return too quickly, my apologies. :) 'truly' (no e) - Kiwi-Girl, Jul 23, 2014
although=aunque and even though= a pesar de or its a great exercise thought. :) - 003e54f5, Jul 23, 2014

Cyclist: now there is no electric current that is why I am obliged to carry the cable-car to the station.

If he were pulling the cable car, the cord would be tenser more taut- perhaps it is a security cord to carry him across a crevice on the other side of the mountain.

Or the cable car is catching up as he slows down. - gringojrf, Jul 23, 2014
Good job Bosque, just a little gender agreement 'de la montaña'. Also for the English did you mean 'more taut'? (tenso or tirante is good for that) :) - - Kiwi-Girl, Jul 23, 2014
Gracis, Kiwi; I do not know why I did that (the gener error, not a hard one). I will accept more taut- although I think tenser is more tense and is an option. :) - bosquederoble, Jul 23, 2014

I am doing it, but I have no idea what's ahead.

El última etapa del Tour de Francia.

Ray, you need gender agreement here: La (not el ) última etapa etc....I hope this helps :) - FELIZ77, Jul 24, 2014
The word 'última' takes the appropriate gender article. It is not one of the exceptions where you have a feminine noun that takes a masculine article, eg: el agua, el sistema, el problema, etc.... :) - FELIZ77, Jul 24, 2014

The cyclist: “Why do my friends always choose me to pull (ie: tow) the cable car every time it breaks down?! It was probably a error of judgement to tell them that I really wanted to lose weight and keep fit!“

Editor's note/s: I am asking the readers to imagine that the line from the cable car is fixed to the back of the bicycle and that the cyclist is towing it! lol Certainly, there is a visual suggestion of this ..even though, in reality, the line probably passes behind the cyclist I am hoping that the illusion is sufficient to engage the readers imagination wink smile

Corrijan mi español, por favor smile
