Hello everyone,

The Picture of the Day. Game for practicing and having fun.

- Guidelines -

Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen tomorrow on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy. ;^)

Remember to correct your posts as suggested. Posts that are not corrected cannot be "accepted".

Please give everyone a chance and only post one caption and no photos.

I will advise on the Spanish part, and I'm still looking for volunteers on the English part.

This is the previous: Picture of the day: la mascota.
(Please correct my English)

This gives new meaning to 'lick your opponent'!

And the referee calls a time out for the foul tongue and were going to the free throw line.

I don't think this is covered in the rulebook.

'to cover' plays a figured sense, here. We use it in Spanish too. In this case I would say: "Yo no creo que esto venga" or "que esto esté incluído" + "en el libro de reglas." Un saludo. - RelaxingCup, Dec 22, 2013
Good one. - annierats, Dec 23, 2013

And you think you have a bad job.

(I'm aware of the fact the "tú" is not necessary but I have added them for emphasis)

"Y se dice" = 'And it is said' + "que los futbolistas están demasiado bien pagados. (typo: too)". And your approach is a little bit more difficult: "Y se dice que se les paga demasiado a los futbolistas." Un saludo :) - RelaxingCup, Dec 23, 2013
Gracias, relaxing, elementary slipup, se dice'. The rest was a bit ambitious. Interesting! - annierats, Dec 23, 2013
