I prefer the lambada - one is permitted to touch the other person.

The man is thinking, "I hope she stays at a safe distance because I don't like her."

Very good! Second "ella" will be omitted most of the times. - RelaxingCup, Oct 24, 2013
Thanks, RC. - Raja-jani, Oct 24, 2013

They are not going to win the prize for flamenco-dancing..

I think you mean "prize". - Raja-jani, Oct 24, 2013
To win is translated into "tocar" when it's all about luck as in "le ha tocado la lotería" (she won the lottery). For a prize, when it implies effort and good performance you should use "ganar". - RelaxingCup, Oct 24, 2013

He shouldn't have taken off his shoes before extinguishing his cigarette.

Is that a hole in my sock? Maybe if I keep moving my feet she won't notice it.

If you move your arms like this ,you can run faster.
