Hello everyone,

The Picture of the Day. Game for practicing and having fun.

- Guidelines -

Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen tomorrow on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy. ;^)

Remember to correct your posts as suggested. Posts that are not corrected cannot be "accepted".

Please give everyone a chance and only post one caption and no photos.

I will advise on the Spanish part, and I'm still looking for volunteers on the English part.

This is the previous: Picture of the day: Orange Vespa (bowl fish).
(Please correct my English)

"Ignoradme." for the imperative or "me ignoran" for the 'present simple'. :) - RelaxingCup, Oct 23, 2013

The sex-education teachers need to look for other work, children now know everything even before they learn to walk.

Very goo! Only one thing: "antes de echar a andar" or "antes de que echen a andar". :) - RelaxingCup, Oct 23, 2013
Gracias, relaxing, I did think quite a lot if subjunctive was needed.. We'll go with the subjunctive then! - annierats, Oct 23, 2013
I meant "very good" :P - RelaxingCup, Oct 24, 2013

Why are adults always slobbering? They´re messy.

Por qué los adultos siempre babean. Son sucios.

That's perfect. Just one step further: you can use present continuos in Spanish if you are complaining about something (just like in Enlish). ⇒ "¿Por qué los adultos están siempre babeando?" :) - RelaxingCup, Oct 23, 2013
I like this.. - annierats, Oct 23, 2013

Tough to translate and keep it short. 'Like me' means 'you, like me' (imperative). And you know about the tricky construction of "gustar". I would suggest "sígueme en Facebook" (follow me) or "Dale a Me Gusta" (Hit Like Me). :) - RelaxingCup, Oct 23, 2013
Muchas gracias, RC! :) - rac1, Oct 23, 2013

Why are their mouths closed? They ought to be like this...

¿Por qué estan sus bocas cerradas? Deberían estar así...

"Dijo (que) sí, se van a casar" or "Ha dicho (que) sí, se van a casar". In Spain "ha dicho" will be used because that's something that happened a few seconds/minutes ago. :) - RelaxingCup, Oct 24, 2013
