Question

For those of you who have not yet participated in our audio thread this link will give you instructions on how to record and upload an audio file

The aim of this thread is to practice speaking the language which we are learning and be corrected by native speakers. I shall be correcting the English recordings and Julián will correct the Spanish versions.

Please feel free to add a second recording incorporating any suggestions which you are given to show your improvement

What should I know about social networking?

Your reputation

Guarding your reputation means being careful not to give others valid reasons to think badly of you. To illustrate, imagine that you own a brand new car, it doesn't have a single scratch. Wouldn't you like to keep it that way? How would you feel if because of your own carelessness, your car was wrecked in an accident?

Something similar can happen to your reputation on a social network. Think about how your reputation might be affected by posting an inappropriate photo or a careless comment.

A Bible proverb states: "A good reputation is better than great wealth." Proverbs 22:1

¿Qué debo tener en cuenta al usar una red social?

Tu reputación

Proteger tu reputación significa no darle a nadie razones válidas para pensar mal de ti. Ilustrémoslo, imagínate que tienes un carro último modelo sin un solo rasguño. ¿No te gustaría conservarlo así? ¿Cómo te sentirías si chocaras por descuido y el auto quedara destrozado?

Algo parecido puede pasarle a tu reputación en una red social. Piensa en el impacto que podría tener en tu reputación la publicación de una foto inapropiada o un comentario imprudente.

Un proverbio bíblico señala: "Es mejor la buena reputación que las muchas riquezas". Proverbios 22:1

Claro, la idea es marcar bien la R cuando tiene RR (doble R)... pero debes hacerla un poquito menos marcada en las palabras que tienen la R inicial, o quizás decirla más rápido. - Krassa, Aug 1, 2011
