3. (pretentious)

La manera en que actuó en la obra me pareció más cursi que dramática.The way he acted in the play seemed to me more affected than dramatic.
4. (finicky)
a. prissy
Deja de ser tan cursi y delicada; tienes que irte en autobús como todos.Don't be so prissy and delicate; you have to take a bus like anyone else.
This means that the noun can be masculine or feminine, depending on the gender of person it refers to (e.g. el doctor, la doctora).

This refers to an idiomatic word or phrase for which there is no word-for-word translation.
