Nouns
Gender Tip
• Although it ends in an a, the word idioma is masculine: el idioma
• Although it ends in an o, the word moto (short for motocicleta) is feminine: la moto
• The word turista can be used to refer to both male and female tourists:
Accent Tip
Both the singular word país (country) and the plural word países (countries) have an accent.
Adjectives
In these lessons, you learn these adjectives for describing places.
Adónde vs Dónde
In these lessons, you also learn the question word adónde(literally, to where). This question word looks and sounds very similar to a question word you already know, dónde (where). So what's the difference between the two?
- Adónde is usually used to ask where someone/something is going.
- Dónde is used to ask where someone/something is or (in combination with de) where someone/something is from.

Buscar
Buscaris a regular -ar verb that means to look for.

Poder
Poderis a stem-changing verb. That means that its "stem," po, changes to pue in all forms except for the vos, nosotros/nosotras, and vosotros/vosotras forms.
