Checking HW

Hi everyone! I'm hoping some one on here can help me check my spanish homework. I have some questions on phrases (not just individual words).

Example: I'd like to say "learning a language can also help to learn a culture" - in Spanish, I have "aprender una lengua tambien puede ayudar a aprender una cultura" (pardon the lack of accents, I'm not sure how to get them in this textbox. So would it be "puede ayudar a aprender"? Or just "puede ayudar aprender"?

Another question: I'd like to say "Bolivia also uses those two languages as well as Aimara." So in Spanish I have: "Bolivia usa esas dos tambien ademas que al aimara" (again, excuse the lack of accents). Is this correct'

It is better to use idioma when referring to language as the official language of a region, etc.

Thank you. I will wait.

To clarify, for the first statement, the question was "Does learning a language mean you learn the culture'" (or something to that effect). What I was trying to convey in my answer is that learning a language can help learn about a culture but (and this part I didn't necessarily say) one doesn't learn a culture only by learning a language. I went on to say how it was important to read famous and history books that are important to that culture in its native tongue...

For the second statement, the previous sentence was talking about the two official languages of Peru. That's why I used "...usa esas dos..." esas referring to las lenguas in the previous sentence. I hope that helps other edtors out there. smile

For the first I would say, "Cuando se aprende un idioma extranjero se aprende una cultura tambien".

For the second I would say "Bolivia emplea esos dos idiomas lo mismo que Aimara".

However, I would suggest you wait for more answers.
