We often start a counter-argument like this, some possibilities I thought of were:
Pues, empleando esa logica ...emplear esa logica ...usando tal logica and all those sorts of combinations -sorry I can't do accents where I am.

to use ...ando or infinitive and to use, esa, or tal

just to check then would:
'Hombre, usar tal lógica...' sound weird'

That's pretty sophisticated. I'm sure most Spanish speakers would be impressed if you say that. Other options:

Hombre, usando esa lógica...
Hombre, siguiendo esa lógica...

P.S. That "hombre" is an interjection.

Another option might be:

Siguiendo esa línea de razonamiento, ...
