This came form cowboy hero comic strip that was made into a radio show, movies and also a tv show. I remember watching it when I was a child back in the 1950's. It was called "The Lond Ranger". The Lone Ranger was a cowboy hero that wore a mask on his face. He had a Native American sidekick named Tonto. Tonto used to call The Lone Ranger something that sounded like "ke-mo sah-bee" meaning "wise one."

I don't have the correct spelling. I have wondered if this was from the Lone Ranger. Did kids in Los Angeles who spoke Spanish as their first language use that term in the 80's'
