ASK A QUESTION under observation

I have this translation to do for homework. Its basically an accident report where this lady was in a work related accident....

She was kept under observation for several hours due to the blow to the head.

Would under observation translate to bajo observación? I automatically discarded bajo vigilancia . It just sounds wrong in this context.

Is there anything I could use that might sound more Spanish? Please help.
