I enjoyed the paradigm on making words plural in the grammar part of "Reference". The rule "if a word ends in "-s" o "-x" just the article changes" is not exactly accurate. How about "mes", "francés", "país", etc'

mes: meses
país: paises
francés: franceses

As a general rule, if the accent is in the last vowel, you add "es"

Yes, you are correct, and that is an error in the Reference section. The correct rule is: Nouns of more than one syllable ending in an unstressed vowel plus S do not add a plural ending. The nouns you mention do not fit that rule, and hence take a plural ending.
