I was wondering if this phrase makes sense to use when refering to a company gaining or 'capturing' new customers. I just don't want it to sound like the company is holding hostage their customers. Gracias por toda su ayuda.

Nate,
I think you could be right about using the verb capturar in this case. It doesn't seem right to me. The verb "conseguir" was my first thought.
We need some help from native speakers.

I suggest:

ganar /atraer /conseguir clientes

I think captar is the verb you want, rather than capturar. See the following article.
