ASK A QUESTION Dinner

hI Casey, welcome! Several people or just one?
Ven a cenar con nosotros.
Ven y cena con nosotros.
Veniros a cenar.
Since Casey lives in the New World, not the Old (wink, wink), I suggest that he use the Spanish that is used here for plural forms.
¡Vengan a cenar con nosotros!
Also, can't we just say "...a comer..." to be less specific'
Hello! (This is my first reply ever).
To use "vos" does not indicate New vs Old world Spanish. It is a common form that is used in many Spanish-speaking countries, perhaps some one can attest for me that it is a common form in Spain.
Also, since the topic of the post is "Dinner," it can be assumed that Casey is inviting some one to come over for dinner, "la cena".
Mimi, I think you missed my little joke. I was teasing Heidita, who is from Spain and always assumes that Iberian Spanish is best. The Old World is Europe, and therefore Spain in this case. The New World is the Americas, and therefore Mexico and other countries. Here in the US (where the OP lives), the use of ustedes for plural informal forms is much more common than the use of vosotros (which is the form Heidita used, not vos).
And, yes, dinner can be assumed, which is why my translation used cenar, but since the actual phrase for which a translation was requested was "come eat with us," I think comer could also be used.
