¡Hola! y bienvenido al forum, hello and welcome to the forum,
to say how are you informaly you should say, ¿como está usted? and if
addressing more than one person, ¿como estan ustedes' and to friends etc.
you would use formal ¿como estás? and ¿como etstáis? Hope this helps you.

I know this is a old thread but I am going to reply anyway.

There is something about all of your posts.

Ken: in Spanish "Forum" is "Foro" and you use "Cómo estáis" in Spain, that is the "Vosotros" form.

Alba: You're post is the best, you just don't need to use "YO"

Sara: You don't say "¿Cómo eres usted'" you say "¿Cómo está usted'" and you should put all your going to use on one post.
