Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day! This is a game where you can all practice your Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time! Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the answer I feel is the best, the fact that the person has corrected their post and possibly the number of votes.

Rules [regla] : Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos. This picture (photo) reminds me of the famous saying: 'You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink!' I really think this horse would be happier if his owner allowed him to continue to graze in the field!

el refrán......lE permitiera, jejej, good one, smile - Heidita2 19 mins ago

Good one! - rac1, Jul 5, 2017
I had some help from my Oxford English /Spanish Dictionary with the saying (refrán) itself, as I had no idea how to translate this one, but the rest of the Spanish is my own work and effort - FELIZ77, Jul 5, 2017

It seems to me that the viewer sees only a mirage and not reality.

Hola Nkm. "While / Whilst" requires two clauses in a sentence. You can just join your two sentences to fix this "... illusion, whilst the ..." Or, if you want to keep two sentences, you can replace "Whilst" with "Meanwhile." - jellonz, Jul 5, 2017

Unlike Keenland or Fasig-Tipton (for Thoroughbreds), the Mongolian horse yearling auction is sparsely attended.

Thank you, Heidi. Portos are foals, but I am talking about ones that are one year old. The word it gave in the dictionary for a yearling is primal. Is that word wrong? - Echoline, Jul 5, 2017

mueve tu caballo y sácalo de ahí. I guess this would be "tú" form ;) - 006595c6, Jul 6, 2017
Gracias Heidi - I was tossing up whether to use su to represent formality or tu as a lack of respect? and I just couldn't figure out how to make sacar work :) Thanks again. - jellonz, Jul 6, 2017
This last edit is based on another question in the Q & A. I think I got there in the end :) - jellonz, Jul 7, 2017

Mongolian horses exemplify struggle in a changing environment, in this case, desertification.
