Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day! This is a game where you can all practice your Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time! Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the answer I feel is the best, the fact that the person has corrected their post and possibly the number of votes.

Rules [regla] : Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos. Please make your answers at least two words long and no longer than three sentences. Encourage everyone with a vote and help each other with your English/Spanish sentences and above all have fun everyone.

The man: Hey mate, how great to see you again! How you doing?

The dog: Erm, have a guess ..... my house has just burned down.

This dog is very brave. Despite fire and smoke he persists in staying with his friends, the firefighters.

Gracias por la corrección. - NKM1974, Jun 30, 2017
"Meanwhile" instead of "whilst" Nkm, or alternatively you could use "while / whilst" to combine the two sentences. - jellonz, Jun 30, 2017

The anguish in the eyes of this dog is truly heartbreaking. They are begging, "Please bring me my family."

I know this breed of dog very well, as I have been breeding them for almost 30 years.)

Thank you for the correction. I used está instead of es because the dogs eyes do not always look anguished. Why is that wrong? Is it because the character of that look, although temporary, is what an anguished look looks like in an Australian Shepherd? - Echoline, Jun 30, 2017

One of the advantages of having a dog as a smoke detector is that it does not respond to overcooking the bacon in the same manner that it responds to a true fire.

I can see your paw is burnt, but that will teach you not to play with matches.
