Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos. . Please encourage everyone with a vote. . .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun.

It's a bit strange that the hunter and the game are locked behind the same fence.

estén...subjuntive - DilKen, Apr 23, 2017
Why ? - porcupine7, Apr 23, 2017
This is an opinion about a fact. Therefore the verb after que is subj - DilKen, Apr 23, 2017
Porcu see: http://www.spanishdict.com/guide/impersonal-expressions-with-the-subjunctive - DilKen, Apr 23, 2017
Good point, Porcu. I could've easily put Elmer or any character in front of the fence. The reason I decided not to was that I couldn't find a figure that showed the backside which I would've preferred.:) - Sassette, Apr 23, 2017
...backside meaning that if the character were in front of the fence the character would've been looking at the exhibit. - Sassette, Apr 23, 2017
Gracias Ken - porcupine7, Apr 24, 2017

I have a new job as a guard in this animal sanctuawy. Be vewy, vewy quiet.

(For English learners: The words "sanctuary" and "very" are deliberately misspelled to conform to Elmer Fudd's typical mispronunciation.)

Quick, Daffy Duck, duck before Elmer sees you!

Thanks for the very helpful correction, ken! smile

Vote from me. Why Lucas? - DilKen, Apr 23, 2017
@ kenhuizenga Thanks for vote :) I guess Pato Lucas is Daffy Duck in Spanish. Check this out: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pato_Lucas - Sassette, Apr 23, 2017
agachate o agachese for imperitive form always attach pronouns - DilKen, Apr 23, 2017
Sassy: you need to use the one with te so it matched the te later on in your sentence :) - DilKen, Apr 23, 2017
agáchate (with an accent) - DilKen, Apr 23, 2017
@ken. Thanks again! Lost focus of the details. I like te better anyway because I feel like I know the duck personally. lol - Sassette, Apr 23, 2017

Bugs Bunny is doing a dare!: "Look, I've already crossed the line, now, what ya gonna do about it? Na na na na na! You can't do nuthin', mister...you're just a cardboard cut-out!"

(What are you going to do to stop me?! You can't do anything)

The guard speaks "You reckon (think) so? Hahaha! Try me! Take one more step and you'll be rabbit pie! Go on, (Go ahead!) make m un desafió (o reto): "¡Mira, ya he atravesado la frontera!

I can remember when my daughter told her husband, I got you a rabbit. He thought he was getting a pet, She proceeded to butcher it and cook it for dinner. I have to admit I have never eaten rabbit. :) - bosquederoble, Apr 23, 2017

In Toontown, they have locked up those from Looney Tunes in the loony bin.

Bugs Bunny: ¿Qué tal, médico?

Bugs Bunny: What's up doc?

Elmer Fudd: ¡Se dice señor médico en español!

Elmer Fudd: You should say "Mister Doc" in Spanish! (Or one says)

Bugs Bunny: Sea lo que sea. ¿Te apetece el pato de comer?

Bugs Bunny: Whatever! You feel like duck for lunch?

Very good. You expanded your entry. :) - Sassette, Apr 23, 2017
Yes...I just put what's up doc as a first thought. When I'm doing a dialog I often just get it started and then think about what else to say. :) - DilKen, Apr 23, 2017

Very good, Nepal you need sólo in this part : ¿No sabes que sólo ESTAMOS jugando? :) - FELIZ77, Apr 24, 2017
Please remember that the verb 'estar' is used to form the present progressive tense in Spanish. It is used for a state or condition, whereas ser is used for a person's characteristics! I hope this helps :) - FELIZ77, Apr 24, 2017
Present progressive: present indicative tense of estar (conjugated to correct person) + gerund of required verb eg Esto - FELIZ77, Apr 24, 2017
Estoy leyendo = I am reading, Estamos hablando = We are speaking/talking. - FELIZ77, Apr 24, 2017
Muchas gracias mi gran amigo Feliz. I have a big doubt and can't understand correctly about Ser and Estar. - nepal15, Apr 25, 2017

These are cartoon characters from Looney Tunes, an animated series from Warner Bros. from 1930-1969. Bugs Bunny is probably the most famous. Also included is Elmer Fudd who likes to hunt Bugs Bunny & I threw in Daffy Duck. :) - Sassette, Apr 24, 2017
