Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day! This is a game where you can all practice your Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time! Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the answer I feel is the best, the fact that the person has corrected their post and possibly the number of votes. Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos. . Please encourage everyone with a vote. . .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun.

No more drinking and parties for us guys.

Our new neighbor is a bad influence.

Subjunctive needed after sugeriría. - Daniela2041, Aug 18, 2016
Gracias Dani - that pesky subjunctive is so much easier in English. :) - ian-hill, Aug 18, 2016

I'm going to smack the next one of you that suggests tequila shots every time the opposing team scores.

We are glad that our ancestors, wolves, decided to domesticate human beings so that we could laze about all day while they have to do all the work.

I was not sure if it should be tengan, or revert back to tienen? :) - bosquederoble, Aug 18, 2016
Bosque, I believe that it should be tengan. I am basing this upon some sentences of mine and others that native Spanish speakers have corrected, where following the que all the following verbs should be in the subjunctive! I hope this helps :) - FELIZ77, Aug 18, 2016
Thanks, that is what I went with, but wasn't sure. :) - bosquederoble, Aug 18, 2016

The dog which is awake: " Our owner has just told us this morning that she wants to buy some kittens to liven up her house...and we'ré all in a state of shock and we're thinking...has she gone completely crazy?! I mean, honestly, can't she see that we're all full of life?!"

totalmente / o completamente loca = completely crazy ???

.

Andre, I would use ya here to mean already: ¿Ya es viernes? I hope this helps :) - FELIZ77, Aug 18, 2016
I believe that Todavía here would most likely carry the meaning Is is still Friday? not your intended meaning: Is it Friday yet ? - FELIZ77, Aug 18, 2016
Thanks Feliz, that clears it up for me too. ;) - jrschenk, Aug 18, 2016
I asked a few local friends, that also speak English, about this and they said it is correct, the problem is a direct translation does not exist. - 00551866, Aug 23, 2016

Now these puppies are very cute, but when they grow, the house will be full of them.

Perhaps these dogs have cataplexy. Cataplexy is a brief loss of muscle control, often triggered by strong emotions such as excitement or laughter. Both people and dogs can have cataplexy.

For a puppy, every day is basically a weekend, and every hour is nap time.

Every dog has its day, this is not the day for our guys.
