However, if you mean to say: to chew it over meaning think about it /it over you would need to use a different verb pernsar say Tengo que pensármelo un rato, = I need to /must think about it for a while - FELIZ77, Feb 11, 2016

Ray, I think it depends entirely upon the context ie: what you are trying to say ! Very good English/Spanish dictionaries such as the Oxford Spanish dictionary will give example sentences showing how natives use the word but you have to look carefully at - FELIZ77, Feb 11, 2016
