Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day!

This is a game where we can practice our Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time!

Thank you to Nickelbackfan for sending me this picture.

The rules are very simple and remain more or less exactly as RelaxingCup designed them and H C A student continued.

  • Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy.

  • Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos.

Please encourage everyone with a vote. smile

. .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun!

Here is the previous Picture of the Day:

Thank you so much Waidh, while I was in bed I realised that I had mixed up the tenses. You were too quick for me. - ray76, Jan 5, 2016
I know it is a little black but if you eat meat you need to be realistic , this is what we do to cute little pigs , they become "Porchetta" .or Jamón. - ray76, Jan 5, 2016
O tocino, o costillas, mmmmm good. - gringojrf, Jan 5, 2016
En Mexifornia es "carne asada" Yam, yam! A propósito, ¿Qué es "porchetta" parece italiano. - Daniela2041, Jan 5, 2016
@ Ray or very tasty bacon. :) - Nickelbackfan1, Jan 5, 2016
Oh my, poor piggy. Thanks everyone. - sanlee, Jan 6, 2016
Yes Dani we have a chain of Italian restaurants here called La Porchetta. Young piglets roasted on a spit , then shredded and put on Pizzas. - ray76, Jan 6, 2016
If you don't want to wait long the menu item can be "lechón ahumado" smoked sickling. - 00551866, Jan 6, 2016
"suckling" it may make you "sickling" hahahaha - ray76, Jan 6, 2016
Thanks for catching that Ray. I'm going to blame it on my fat fingers. - 00551866, Jan 6, 2016

Once I dreamed that I was a piglet eating an ice cream cone in my back yard and when I woke up, there was two feet of snow on my picnic bench.

If your kamma is such that you are going to have to be reborn as a pig, at least you can hope that you will be one that is a spoiled pet.

Typo, English "karma" - Daniela2041, Jan 5, 2016
I did not use the English, in the English. http://www.accesstoinsight.org/lib/study/kamma.html :) - bosquederoble, Jan 5, 2016
So I live and learn. Who knew? - Daniela2041, Jan 5, 2016
It was a reasonable observation, as most people use karma. :) - bosquederoble, Jan 5, 2016
And I am highly prone to off the wall mistakes in both languages. :D - bosquederoble, Jan 5, 2016

Prefiero el helado a huevos verdes y jamón.

I prefer ice cream to green eggs and ham.

I'm not sure that this photo was one summer dream but rather a dream of winter, In the cold anybody might dream about the hot and sunny summer with refreshing ice cream.

Segundo intento: Sandy, sé que he engordado.

Sandy, I know I have put on a little weight—is this meant to be some sort of hint? Is it my fault that ice cream is so yummy?

Just chilling in the shade, with desert.

Several errors here. the idiom "to chill" in English, does not convey the same meaning as "helar" to (really) chill something. And "desierto" is a hot dry place. Maybe you mean "dessert" which is postre. I would change the whole thing to "pasándo bien, - Daniela2041, Jan 6, 2016
- Daniela2041, Jan 6, 2016
Having a great time in the shade and with a fantastic dessert. - Daniela2041, Jan 6, 2016
Or, colloquially "Made in the shade--------" - Daniela2041, Jan 6, 2016
Escalofriante, is something that causes escalofríos or chills---literally. - Daniela2041, Jan 6, 2016
:D to both the post and the suggestions. - jrschenk, Jan 6, 2016

Hijo, no digas mentiras. No puedes tener otro cono de helado.

Mommy, I left my ice cream cone on the picnic table for only a second and when I returned, a piggie was eating it. Son, don't lie. You can't have another ice cream cone.
