Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day!

This is a game where we can practice our Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time!

The rules are very simple and remain more or less exactly as RelaxingCup designed them and H C A student continued.

  • Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy.

  • Pon tu comentario/ título/ pie de foto a esta imagen (ambos en español y inglés) y vota por las respuestas que te gusten. La mejor respuesta será seleccionada mañana, tanto por la cantidad de votos como por la corrección en el uso del idioma.

  • Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos.

  • Por favor, deja que todos tengan una oportunidad y pon más o menos una respuesta, sin fotos. .

Please encourage everyone with a vote. smile

. .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun!

When does a meatball become a meatloaf?

¿Cuándo se convierte una albóndiga a un rollo de carne picada sazonado, cocido y servido como fiambre?

Is there a better way to say meatloaf? Is it unheard of in Spanish speaking countries?

Daniela says "meatloaf". What about, "pan de carne en molde"? Or just "carne molido en molde"?

I have no idea if my version is correct, but pastel de carne does get some google image hits that look right for whatever that is worth. :) - bosquederoble, Oct 27, 2015
I've never heard any Spanish speaker say anything but "meatloaf" How do you say "taco" or "burrito" in English? - Daniela2041, Oct 28, 2015
albondigón..jejej - Pablo064, Oct 28, 2015
Daniela, I say "taco" and "burrito", I also say "tamale" instead of "tamal" when speaking of one. - gringojrf, Oct 28, 2015
...old habits are hard to break. - gringojrf, Oct 28, 2015
The point I'm trying to make is that once a food name is established in a language, it gets use by people of other languages. - Daniela2041, Oct 29, 2015
One other example is how do you say "crèpes suzettes" in English or Spanish. Ya Dont!! - Daniela2041, Oct 29, 2015
That one is easy. I never say crepes suzettes. - gringojrf, Oct 29, 2015

Es muy grande, pero espero que no va a saltar alguien de su interno como de un caballo troyano moderno .

It is very big, but I hope nobody will leap out of it like from a modern Trojan horse.
