Uses for "Te" Examples
Te gusta...You like...
Te hablo...I am talking to you. (Indirect object pronoun)
Te lavas...You are washing yourself...(reflexive)
Uses of "Ti" Examples
A ti te gusta...You like (but with more emphasis)
depende de ti...Depends on you
contigo...with you...
(Usually used after prepositions such as de, con, para...-with "Con", it becomes contigo)
Tú-You... Examples
Tú estás enferma.-You are sick. (Tú not neccessary though)
Usually subject pronouns (Yo, Tú, él...can be eliminated because the conjugations already tell us who's speaking)
Tu-Your..Examples
Tu ropa-Your clothes
Tu cara-Your face
It's "Possessive"
The only one thing wrong there was:
Tú te gusta español.-You like spanish. (Tú not neccessary though) This is wrong.
A ti te gusta el español - You like Spanish ("A ti" is not necessary) This is correct.
I am so happy to not see tí in any of these explanations!
I'll answer another way. Use these forms rather than usted, lo, le when you are talking to one person who is a friend, who is a child, who is on a first name and informal basis with you.
The other uses of tú, te and ti as explained would apply to usted, lo, le and usted after a preposition (contigo familiar = con usted formal).
Possessive Adjectives. Exemple: tu familia
personal pronoun Subject. Exemple: tú ablas español (tú is not necessary explicit cause we can guess it by the ending of the verb )
personal pronoun Object. Exemple: pienso en ti
te is a reflexive pronouns (somehing you do to yourself, himself..). Exemple (te lavas la cara)
