New Game - Find a Word _/ _ _ IP

New Game - Find a Word _/ _ _ IP

The idea is to find an English word of 4 or 5 letters that ends in IP. _ _ IP or _ _ _ IP

And then write a short sentence in English and Spanish using that word.

Example:

We were going at quite a clip.

Íbamos a buen paso.

Eso es todo, fácil ¿no?

This was the previous challenge

Slip/resbalar

"Be careful about the ice, sweetheart," said the mother to her young son. You have to take care (that) you don't slip on the ice! (or, "..care not to slip on the ice!")

Diagonyx/Anormal/Franco : I wasn't 100% sure whether I should conjugate the verb resbalar* after para que or leave it in the infinitive. Please advise me smile

Corrijan mi español, por favor

I grew up saying it's 'slippy' outside. Is 'slippy' a word now, or should it be 'slippery'? Ian? - 0095ca4c, Jun 21, 2013
Thanks, Ian :) - FELIZ77, Jun 21, 2013
Margherite, The correct word is 'slippery' I would guess that slippy is a slang derivative or collloquial variation lol :) - FELIZ77, Jun 21, 2013

What the Goldmans of the world have in addition to profits is the widespread belief that they are too big to fail. Both Goldman and CIT converted into bank holding companies at the height of the financial panic last fall, which made them eligible for TARP injections. Goldman also benefited at a crucial moment from the Federal Reserve takeover of AIG, and it received the additional ""filip""of FDIC-guaranteed debt issuance through the Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program. CIT was excluded from the latter program on grounds that it didn't pose a systemic risk, even as larger competitors like General Electric were allowed in.
