Find a word related to O V E R

Find a word related to O V E R

6
votes

The idea is to find an English word (synonym –- antonym -- phrase, idiom, phrasal verb ) related to the word – O V E R ( adverbio, adjetivo, preposición, sustantivo )

and then write a simple sentence in English and Spanish for that word. (not over by itself)

Examples:

The over-40s

Los mayores de cuarenta años

over 40 photo: Under 40 over 40 Over40under40.jpg

Don’t go overboard on fitness.

No te pases con lo de estar en forma.

excess photo: nugget excess.jpg

Nor overcompensate

Ni compensar (algo) en exceso

Pictures would be nice, (pretty ones or animals get lots of votes) ha ha

[This link might help you find some ideas.]

Mariana has kindly agreed to be the “official” corrector of the Spanish.

I think I can manage being the “unofficial” corrector for the English, je je

This was the previous challenge

My guests outstayed their welcome today and I'm overworked, overtired and over the top.

Mis huéspedes se habían quedado más que lo conveniente hoy y ya estoy harta de todo, muy cansada y me he pasado la raya.

I know, the Spanish translation is very interesting. ha. - katydew, Mar 29, 2013

You could also say, "¡Ya no quiero nada que ver con este hombre!" - --Mariana--, Mar 29, 2013
"No quiero tener nada que ver con este hombre" or "No quiero involucrarme más con ese hombre". In this case if you say "tipo" instead of "hombre" it sounds even better =P - Chyeko, Mar 29, 2013
You have my sympathy. - annierats, Mar 29, 2013
