The verbs, "escoger", and "elegir"

What is the difference between "escoger", and "elegir"? They both mean to choose but when and where do I use them differentlt?

They are pretty much synonyms! They could be used differently in some instances, but you will get that with time. It is like "To elect and to choose " or "freedom" and "Liberty"
- Elegir = To elect
- Escoger = To choose.
