The original text is:

"En 1999, don Juan Francisco Javier Salceda y Andrade llevó a cabo una minuciosa investigación en los archivos parroquiales de la comarca de Tiera de Campos para esclarecer los lineameientos genealógicos de este linaje, y de esa investigación que generosamente ha compartido con nosotros, resulta el cabal conocimiento que hoy se tiene de los hijos del connubio"

I translated and interpreted as follows: In 1999, Don Juan Francisco Javier Andrade y Salceda conducted a thorough investigation in the parish archives of the region of Tierra de Campos to clarify this genealogical lineage feature, and the research is generously shared with us, is the proper knowledge that today's children have of wedlock.

The real puzzle is "tiene de los hijos del connubio"

Meaning the children were born in wedlock (their parents were legally married).

My Spanish is nowhere near good enough to give an accurate translation with any degree of certainty. However, based on the topic I would guess the meaning of "resulta el cabal conocimiento que hoy se tiene de los hijos del connubio" to be a little more than the sum of it's parts.

I feel that the subtle implication here is that records of "legitimate" child birth - though useful - are of limited scope, and that should be taken into account when dealing with the subject of genealogy, since those records don't include children born out of wedlock, and the records that do exist don't take into account the possibility of mistaken paternity.
